Reminder – Tidal Walk and Lunch 23rd March

William Thomson of Tidal Compass.com will be leading this walk.  He has a wealth of knowledge relating to Tides and Tidal effects and will be stopping to point out various features of our local area.

We start from the SPYC corner Office just after 09:30 with a gentle stroll along the Orwell river front for about 2 miles max. Back to the Marina for a quick comfort break and refreshments if need be.

Then off along the King Edward VII Drive and Queen Victoria Drive past the Bristol Arms and then along the Waterfront of the River Stour for maybe another two miles or less.

Both routes are over fairly level ground with the thought of making it easy for those who are not as agile as they once were.  Wet weather clothing and good walking boots are recommended.

Upon return to the Bristol Arms a one course lunch is available at a special price of £10:00 with the following choices.

*Procters’ Sausages, Mustard Mash & Red Onion Gravy
*Beer Battered” Cod, Chunky Chips & Mushy Peas
*Mediterranean Vegetable Tart, New Potatoes & Mixed Salad
Please email me with your preferred choices of main dish – Drinks, Tea or Coffee and Desserts are available from the main menu if you want but not included in the £10 set price.  Order these on the day as you wish.
Quite a few people have already indicated an interest in this Walk and Talk with Lunch so get an email to me to book your place asap.   The walk is £10 per head to meet Williams expenses and fee.
This promises to be a very interesting and unusual walk and quite a coup for the club to be able to acquire the services of William Thomson.
